Kokopo Beach Bungalow Resort is on the island of East New Britain north of the Papua New Guinea mainland. Our resort offers accommodation, tours, hire vehicles, events and functions, and conferences.

Situated right on the beach front, surrounded by incredible virgin rainforest, cacao plantation and the second largest coconut plantation in Papua New Guinea. The property includes 8 beautiful bays over 10.8km of water frontage. Fringed by gorgeous mountains, with waterfalls and rivers running down to the coast. Freshwater springs, incredible birdlife and stunning beaches. There is so much to explore here!!

Kokola is a magical place for rest & relaxation, or head out on a trek through this large property to climb mountains and cool off under waterfalls. Kokola would be a great place for birdwatching groups, fishing enthusiasts, as well as the start or finish of a cycling trip of New Ireland.

As the retreat is part of a large coconut plantation, you can see and experience first hand all the processes of the copra industry in Papua New Guinea. The property also has its own vegetable & fruit gardens, and grows its own herbs & spices, as well as chickens.

Meals are available, with foods sourced directly from the gardens and the ocean out the front of the retreat. A great variety of cuisines are offered, and you can enjoy the offerings from the coconut plantation and their home-made chocolate products from the cacao plantation.

Currently upstairs there are 2 Queen Rooms and 4 Twin Rooms with large balconies, and downstairs are 4 large rooms with a bunkbed and a single bed (sleeping up to 3 people). The building is right on the beachfront with the rainforest clad mountains behind. Kokola also have plans more villas and rooms to come!
